Her steps slowed slightly as things went fuzzy. She shook her head and tried to focus, taking another slow step that resulted in her hitting one of the check out counters.
The man behind it looked startled. "Miss, are you alright?" he asked, not sure what to expect from her.
Helena took in a sharp breath and drew her eyes up slowly to see just who was talking to her. A slow, predatory grin showed itself and she leaned against the counter. "I'm just fine," she purred. "Don't I look it?"
The man had no idea how to respond to the flirtatious tone.
