If there's one thing Warren's always been good for it's, above all, his spontaneity. Lily loves that about Warren. He'll shoot her a text at two in the afternoon and by three, she's in a first class seat sipping champagne and flying on Las Vegas for a night out on the strip. Or, in this case, eight at night, wine, and New Orleans for Mardi Gras.

The only problem they seemed to run into when they get there was the fact that Lily had never been to Mardi Gras and wanted to do it right...but it was literally the night before, and all that was left in the costume shops were a bunch of less than impressive masks and a pair of shoddily made angel wings covered in glitter and downy fake feathers. Still, it was totally worth it and Lily got plenty of beads without actually having to flash her boobs at a bunch of strangers. All in all, it was a fun night on Bourbon Street and she'd certainly never forget it.

By the time they get back to the hotel room, they're both just this side of wasted, Lily's mask is completely askew, and somewhere along the way, she'd lost the wings entirely out on the street.

"Holy bannnnn-nn— holy banannn— ohmigod, screw it," she laughs as they make their way back into the room and she can't quite get her mouth to cooperate with her desire to spit out the word bananas, so she gives up. She collapses onto the bed, pulling the mask off and throwing it across the room, holding her arms out to him. "Come here and lay with me," she says, slurring just a little but grinning all the same. This is why she loves Warren so much. They literally always have fun together.

If asked he'd try his damnedest to insist he was at least a little bit more sober than her, but it would be a bold faced lie at best. Especially as he stumbles into the room after her and has to take a moment to pull himself back up to his feet after her literally trips over them just inside the door frame. He's laughing as he watches her stumble with the word bananas and tosses her mask across the room.

"Holy shit ball, Lils, you gotta start swearing, s'easer - " he drawls and moves towards the bed.

He gives her a goofy grin, one he usually doesn't - even with the girls he sleeps with. But it's different with Lily somehow. He flops down onto the bed beside her face first, head on his arms. "So drunk..." he comments and laughs a little. "Why did you get me so drunk, you're a terrible influence, Lily."

"Never," Lily giggles, watching him move toward the bed. She's never been as comfortable in her own skin in the presence of a man as she is when she's with Warren. She supposes that's why she has such a crush on him, beyond the fact that she just has a lot of fun every time she spends time with him.

Warren flops onto the bed and she rolls over, lifting one of his arms to tuck herself under it, kissing his cheek. "Oh yeah, it's all me, you're totally right," she teases back, nuzzling her nose against the side of his face.

"I love this. Every time I'm with you, it's always so much fun," she tells him, nudging at his cheek with her nose in the hopes of getting him to turn his head so she can give him a real kiss.

He lifts his arm to let her tuck in under and pulls her in close. There's a lot of things he chooses not to think about when he's with Lily - and the easy intimacy they have is one of them. He's used to being physical with girls, but the things around it - spending time, what completely passes as cuddling in most people's books - well that he usually avoids. Maybe it wasn't fair, acting like this, like something maybe more than what he insists this is, friends who happen to sleep together. But it's working and he doesn't want to break it, so it keeps going the way it is.

He turns and kisses her, and maybe it's a bit messy because his head is spinning with alcohol. "That's because I'm fun," he points out. "And you're fun - so - " he pauses and the grins. "Double fun."

Humming a soft laugh against his lips, Lily pulls back to look at him, grinning as well. "Double fun," she agrees before kissing him again. This is the sort of thing that should be reserved for couples, she thinks to herself sometimes. That it's probably weird that they're supposed to be friends with benefits, but the longer they co-exist with the arrangement in place, the larger the net of benefits becomes.

First, it was just sex and Lily was fine with that. She was attracted to Warren, because who wouldn't be, but she didn't have any feelings for him at all beyond the fact that he was good at sex and now she was having it fairly regularly. The more time that passed, the more the booty calls extended into movie nights and kissing and cuddling and impromptu trips to other states for a night or two when he didn't have to be on set.

The longer they do this, the more it feels like a relationship and that's scary because she can see them falling into those roles so easily and yet Lily knows that if she ever suggests it, that'll be the end of it. Warren's an actor, he's famous, he's beautiful, and he's rich and he doesn't need some girl weighing him down. Lily tries not to. But it's hard not to notice that he doesn't bring other girls to premiers anymore, he just goes or he invites her. It's hard not to notice that he's always texting her first on nights off to hang out. It's hard not to notice that he doesn't shy away from intimacies like the ones they're sharing right now and, instead of derailing, he embraces them. She wants to bring it up, but she won't, because she likes what they have and she doesn't want to lose it.

"How long are we staying? Let's just stay forever, no more work or school."
