You're going somewhere. Whether it's planned or impromptu everyone knows it's more fun to hop in the car and get going rather than taking planes or trains, come on! So, you've packed your stuff and you're going with the partner of your choosing for...well, whatever reason strikes your fancy.

Driving Down the Road: You're on the road! Is it getting tedious...maybe. Are you arguing over music? Possibly, but there's the open road and you've got nothing but time to fill.
Not Quite out of the Gate: Okay, so you haven't quite gotten on your journey, or even out onto the road yet, but you're on your way! Maybe you're held up by packing, getting gas, etc but you're getting there!
Lost: Wait, was that our exit? Or was it that one three or four back Has the navigator not quite been doing their job? Looks like you're either going to have to turn around, ask for help, or...just keep going forward.
Car Trouble: Uh oh, is that smoke? Or a blown tire? Or maybe you just ran out of gas, but no matter what's wrong u're broken down on the side of the road and quite a ways away from the last sign of help...either fix it or get to walking!
Bad Weather: Little bit of rain, that's easy! Lot of rain coming down in sheets, or a blizzard, not so much. Better pull over before you crash and wait it out!
Traffic: Traffic Jam? Road Construction? Whatever's blocking your way...well, either wait it out or time to go around it!
Gotta Go: I told you to go before we left! OR maybe you shouldn't have drank that coffee, or that water! There's not another rest stop or gas station for miles, so it looks like it's time to get creative.
Tourist Trap: Okay, you're all for seeing the sights, but World's Biggest Doorstopper? World's Smallest Chicken? World's Noisiest Whistle? Do we really have to stop here, too?
Bad Boys Bad Boys: Uh oh, are those the red and blue lights of a cop car? Well, it looks like you're either going to have to floor it or pull over and accept that ticket...damn!
Night Driving: It's late, or maybe it's really early, either way you're out of that energy drink...or that coffee. Think it's time to wake up your travel companion up to keep you awake...driving and sleeping is dangerous!
Roadkill: Damn it! You hit an animal...or maybe that was a person ala I know what you did last summer, either way....wait is it still moving? What do you do now?
Roadrage: Hey, that asshole cut you off! Or maybe you're that asshole! Revenge is a desirable option....maybe you should do something about it, or maybe they're after you...
Carjacked: Um....dude...where's the car? We were only in for lunch like 20 minutes tops!
Hitchhiking: Not all road trips start through careful planning. Maybe you're the brave sort to get in the car with a stranger...or pick one up.
Road Head: Obligatory smut option! Pulling over is safer, but I suppose some people choose to live on the edge

Rae hates hunts. Ash doesn't hate hunts. In fact, they're where she feels most in her element. Her sister, not so much, so Ash doesn't even try to talk her into it....she'd much rather she be safe.

Solo hunts are always a bad idea, so team-ups....well, they sometimes happen. Ash doesn't mind it so much. Though, the car rides can sometimes be awkward....usually because Ash isn't the most social of people. She's never been good at that whole thing, but the hunt with Sere wasn't so bad. She's not hard to get like most people seem to be.

Unfortunately, nothing can ever go completely great on a hunt. Ash can't help but lean forward, taking a better look out the window at the nasty-ass snow coming down. "Jesus Christ.....it looks like shit out there, and it's building up fast" Ash can't help but be crass about it; they were trying to beat the snow, but it looks like they're right in the thick of it.

"I'm not sure that we're going to make it through all of this." Ash definitely can't help the grouchy tone to her voice because she wanted to get back to home-base, but that seems less and less likely by the moment.

Some hunts are just too big for one person. Whether because they're a big job in and of themselves — typically vampires, werewolves, or hordes of demons — or whether they're just complicated and the culprit isn't easily discernible — a djinn, for example, or a beastie with which she has little to no experience — so while Sere always prefers to work alone, sometimes it just isn't an option. Usually, she ends up going with Uncle Dean or taking Ben with her, but every now and again when she's in the general vicinity of Kansas, she'll hook up with Ash and they'll tackle it together.

Ash doesn't like the road trip, but Sere likes it. She doesn't mind the silence broken only by the sound track of a series of classic rock radio stations or an AC/DC station on Pandora. For her, it's not really about the social aspect during the trip like a road trip would be for most people. For Sere, it's just a solo drive wherein someone just so happens to be sitting in her passenger seat for a change and, if they feel so inclined, then maybe there's chatter along the way.

This time of year isn't exactly ideal for travel, so Sere's been quiet most of the drive so far, trying to keep her focus because, being from San Diego, snow is not really her forte.

"Yeah, really though. I feel like we're going to have to stop soon before the roads get too bad and people start getting stranded and dragging us down with them. I've got a lot of useful shit in my trunk, but supplies for survival in a stranded car in the winter...not one of them," she replies.

It's frustrating not to be able to crank out the whole trip home in one go, but Pennsylvania is a bitch to drive through and even if it wasn't, it would be now with the blizzard blowing through it.
