Post-Op
About an hour after Winry finished with the lesser injured people, Simon and Russell finished Shou's surgery. Her broken bones were set, and torn blood vessels were reattached and closed, and the wounds cleaned. The severe burning to her chest was treated, with the dead skin debrided, and the site flushed several times to eliminate any contaminants.
While Russell was getting the still-unconscious Shou comfortable in post-op, and injecting the medication Simon prescribed into the IV, Simon removed the scrubs and went looking for Winry.
"She'll make it," Simon said, "barring any secondary infection, which is still a huge risk at this stage. Russell said that Ed would be a better option for the burn? I had to remove quite a bit of dead skin, and normally that would be treated with a graft, but he said Ed could make it grow back?"
