I love how Ashe's madness rings so true -- gah, the last line. And how it takes on entirely new dimensions after what's come before it. And how Noah reads as almost feral here with the bangaa-like snarling and the wolf's blood on his sword and crushing in Drace's head with his wristcuffs, ow. And kissing her afterwards -- double ow. It's really appropriate that this is rated R for blood, because blood and pain are everywhere in this. And what makes it hurt most is that it could have gone this way, and it makes sense for these characters whom we've come to know and love to act like this.
(Also, I love that Ashe uses the royal We when she's condemning Vossler. It comes across as impersonal and cold and all kinds of ouch.)
