Who: Fortune and someone willing to be something of a victim When: Afternoon Where: Byrne Academy Why: Fortune needs to test a theory about her powers Rated: TBD
The dream filled bubbles of her fantasies were finally bursting. The harsh reality of her situation was never so stark as when it had turned violent. And now she wanted something…needed something and not even she could describe what that was. She had to keep his ability. She had to make certain she had the upper hand or surely the demon would find her again and destroy her utterly.
For now she just had to find out if her theory would work.
From the bookstore she emerged, a new copy of Maxwell Jones and the Sock Monkey Caper secured in a bag that swung from her wrist as she walked toward Byrne Academy. She started humming the melody to Greensleeves as she stepped off the curb and into oncoming traffic.
Cars screeched to a halt but she paid no attention. She was in a different place, a different world and even though a few of the drivers got out of their cars to shout obscenities she was completely unaware of any wrong doing.
She’d dressed for this occasion. She wore a magnificent dress. Not even the cold autumn wind could cool the warm royal colors of the garment. Spangled with crystals it shined brilliantly through the murk of the day. Her petty coat ruffled like tissue. Her purse handle felt extremely delicate hanging from the crook of her elbow like bait on a hook. Her strings of pearls did their job and gleamed like treasure. Fortune’s fancy blue heels struck the pavement as she walked the streets with an urgency she couldn't conceal. She was trying her best to seem undisturbed by the creatures around her…or that it looked like rain and water would ruin the delicate satin of her shoes.
Let the sky’s let loose! Someone or something should cry for the state of her and what she planned to do.
And when she arrived on campus she looked for someone that she could bend…manipulate and if need be -+ hurt +- to get what she wanted.
Unfortunately for onlookers she looked harmless, a beacon of sunlight too important to ignore in her pretty patterns and jewels.
