Who: Aphrodite, Ares, & Anteros What: Family Reuniting Where: Aphrodite's Penthouse When: Monday, February 3rd Warnings: TBD
When Anteros told her that he was coming over, she'd immediately called Ares and told him to come home at once. Their son needed them. She didn't know what had happened between him and Eros, but she knew that Psyche wasn't in mourning for her relationship, so she assumed it wasn't what she wanted. Ares told her she was not to bring any of this up, of course, and she promised him she wouldn't. She had more class than that. Most of the time. She would have more class than that tonight. Unless he brought it up. Then she would, of course, commiserate. It was what any good mother would do.
With Ares on the way, she took out a bottle of red wine and opened it to let it breathe. It was one of Dionysus's finest. Now that she knew she could get it, it was all she got. Then she put out a small spread of fruits, cheeses, and other things to snack on. Anteros might not want it, but she knew Ares would never turn down things to eat. And it was a good hostess that had things to offer. Mostly, though, it was nervous energy she was trying to burn up. What if he didn't like the new version of her? She'd only been awake since July and she couldn't do what she'd once been able to do.
She could, however, love her children. Aphrodite knew that. She could love her children no matter what form they may take in this day and age. And she was ready to do that as soon as Anteros got there.
