"I'm really glad, too." He was refusing to try and hit on her. It wasn't appropriate. But gods. How could he not? There were so many feelings flying around him right now and he was just smacking them down. It wouldn't be right. She was working. Would it be creepy if he stayed and waited until after her shift? YES. Yes it would be. Ugh. This was just. UGH. "Um. No. Fries are fine. I like potatoes with breakfast. But, maybe a side of coleslaw, too. Yeah. Fries and coleslaw. I... I haven't eaten today yet." It wasn't a lie, at least.
When she turned away to put in his order, he pulled his phone out and texted his sister. 'omg omg omg.' He placed it face down, smiling a little brighter when she came back, depositing the drink. "I've actually never heard of an orangeade. So, I'm excited to try it." It was very orange, though. He gave it a preliminary sniff before taking a sip. "Oh! It's like a creamsicle." He'd had those. He loved those.
