Things had been quiet in their apartment. He didn't mind the quiet. He knew that what had happened affected her in a way that he would never, ever be able to fully understand. All he could do was be there for her. Which he thought he was doing. Hell, even his mother had offered up her home and assistance to them. Not that it was hard to believe that Aphrodite would help him. It was more shocking that she'd taken Psyche in and cared for her like one of her own. It gave Eros hope that maybe, just maybe, his mother would finally like his beloved.
They'd come back to their place after a couple of days of staying at his mother's. It was needed, really. Not that he didn't appreciate what she'd done. But with all of them there, it was pretty intense. And, while he wasn't for sure, he kind of felt that that level of intensity might not be that great for his wife? He'd let her decide when they came home, and he supported that decision whole-heartedly.
He even supported Pesti being brought over. He'd greeted the goat with scritch and a pet, then let her trot over to Psyche. Like her, he'd also taken a lot of time off work. He'd gone in for a couple of his clients - the ones who lost people - but for the most part he stayed with her.
He came into the living room, carrying two mugs full of tea. One was set on the table in front of her and he settled on the couch next to her. "Can I get you anything else?" He felt so useless right then, but really it wasn't about him. It was about her, and he wasn't going to bog her down with his emotions right then. That wouldn't be helpful.
