Who: Charlotte Holt
What: An Unexpected Missive
When: Sept 30
Where: Her apartment
Warnings: Rated G for Everyone
Charlotte had a really long day. Mondays were usually pretty intense since things were closed on the weekends, but this day in particular felt like it had dragged. She'd managed to get home, only to find an envelope in her mailbox. Sitting on a chair, instead of sprawling on her couch, she tore the paper with her nail. There was no return address, no seal, nor stamps. She carefully opened it only to see the letter inside. Unfolding it, she simply frowned at its contents. She loved her family more than anything, but she did not appreciate the words her eyes scanned over. She took a deep breath and went over them again, committing them to memory. It was easy enough, but not something she'd enjoy. Small favors were usually stepping stones to more difficult situations. She was going to have a talk with her father. |
