"Your presence is to keep me safe. The man she is with is the man that will cause me harm if there is any to be had. It is to him you may aim your counter-attack if something happens, though I suspect nothing will. The woman is to remain completely and totally unharmed and that is a command from a queen." She held her head up high and walked behind him with as much poise and posture as she felt for the moment. Truthfully, she had no idea what she was taking into, but she had to hold her head up and walk in like she owned the place just the same.
All of her stature broke, though, when she saw Iris, though. Rainbow and beautiful, Hera felt her lower lip quiver as she took a step towards her. She spared a glance for Zepheyros to show that she meant no harm and held up both of her hands as she approached the goddess. "I come here only to talk." But her voice was caught in her throat. Hera could barely get the words out of her mouth when she did it as Iris came fully into view.
She was as beautiful as she had ever been. Perfect and unchanged. "Bye the gods, but you are yourself and I... well, this is me." She came around so she was facing Iris and held her hands out, her all but useless hands in the private room they'd been shown to and sat down. She dare not reach for a hug. Too much time had passed and she was working on being genuine, not someone who was alll smooches and snuggles right away. That wasn't Hera of old or of new. "I have nothing to offer you. As I said. and you old all the cards. I can merely offer friends. And kindness."
