A demand of presence was easier to take from someone one had already met in person. It amused Poseidon to no end that Rhiannon had denied Zeus’ offer to coffee. The more the sea god watched her interactions even online the more absolutely sure he was that he had found his brother’s wife. For a woman in a shelter escaping a bad relationship, she had a bite to her that only Hera would have. Poseidon had sent a car to go get her and met Zeus at the upscale bar. Coffee did not necessarily mean at a coffee house and while still public it allowed them to have a private booth to hang out in while drinking the same coffee drinks they could get at Starbucks or wine if Hera wanted such. Poseidon was ready for the amusement in the exchange between the old couple. If this Hera could knock Zeus down a few pegs in his attempt at a new approach to everyone it might be for the best, for both of them in the end. Not that Hera had been without her faults in their relationship- or any of them who had failed at marriage the first go around. Having already made a deal with Pheme to call him with an emergency at a specific time, Poseidon would be there for a bit while they got comfortable with one another and then peace out to go do other things. Sitting down with Zeus, Poseidon had been chatting idly about the gala and his excitement about the money they would raise. He tried to keep his conversation on the mundane side, knowing that less mundane conversations were better served in the warehouse or at one of their homes. |
