The door kicked, she couldn't help but raise a brow at the one-liner dropped by Alecto. It wasn't that she was judging her. It was just unexpected.
The guy had sat down on his couch, which stained and the place smelled as if they hadn't opened the windows in a while. The curtains on the window were only partially open, shining a light on old take out boxes littered around, which made Lyssa frown. "Well, I guess where they ended up was better than being raised in this filth."
The kittens had stopped moving, most likely asleep in the dark of the box they'd been carried in. Lyssa hadn't bothered to re-open it on their trip over. Instead, she just stared at the guy who looked really confused and very surprised at the two women standing at his door.
"What the fuck?! That was my door, you bitch!"
"You put these in a strange place," she said, drumming her fingers on the top. One would think carrying the box would have been awkward or possibly too heavy for her, but her strength had been slowly returning (despite Moros' best efforts to almost kill her).
"I don't need them. I have the one I want," he said waving toward the cat in the open window.
