RATING|STATUS: S for Sekrits | In progress
Honestly, Alec had no idea what Dax wanted to talk about that was so important he'd all but demand he come over, but he did know enough not to push too hard. Neither of them was the best at talking about difficult or deeply personal things, and Alec didn't want to discourage his adopted brother from sharing when he needed to. Really, the only thing he could think of was the outside world, but the other man had already said he wouldn't talk about it. Maybe he was having a relationship issue--or maybe he was going to pretend to have one so Alec would be encouraged to talk about his own relationship. Dax really needn't have gone to all the trouble of that, because after the previous night, Alec was already pretty sure he needed to tell someone about Alastair and his new position anyway. The only thing holding him back was not getting permission to tell anyone yet. He hoped Alastair would forgive him when he found out. Knowing the new man in his life would be coming over in the evening, Alec had set an alarm for about 2 so he could go talk to Dax. That wasn't nearly enough sleep, but it would ensure he had enough time to devote to his brother while keeping him tired enough to nap with his boyfriend later. Less than half an hour later, he was knocking on Dax's door, waiting to be let in. |
