This wasn't exactly the freedom he had been looking for, but it was the closest he had ever come in his life. Part of him felt just a little guilty Pain and Panic weren't with him or even his father. Of course, if Hades showed up in this place? Yeah, there would be rubble and mayhem everywhere. His da meant well, most of the time, but the old King of the Underworld wasn't exactly the sanest person ever. Hadie didn't blame him. Life had written Hades off as the bad guy, when in fact he wasn't all that evil. Life was just a jerk. He stretched his arms above his head as he tried to loosen the tight feeling under his inked skin. Going from a barrier that dampened magic to suddenly having full access had left him with a painful adjustment. Sometimes even being around the pirate crew left him feeling on edge, but he had managed to keep a firm grasp on all of his powers. By Evil, he was even telling Harriet when he was running off to do something just so she wouldn't worry when he vanished to release some pent up magic. He jumped easily over a fallen tree and gazed around him at the small treeless thicket. This would do. Hadie couldn't sense anyone nearby so he figured now was as good as any time. He threw his arms wide and let the blue Hellfire erupt from his hands. The azure colored flames skittered around the ground before crashing into each other a few feet in front of him. Wild sparks flew, but not a single thing in the area caught fire. No, instead he twisted his fingers through the air and began to mold the flames into an elaborate scene of the fish shop. The scene was complete with a little fire figure of his cousin Uma and once he had the details down he scowled slightly. Uma was still trapped on the damn Isle. He flicked his fingers as if dismissing the scene and the Hellfire sank straight into the ground. There was a slight charring for a moment, but it too vanished. He allowed himself to sink to the ground and he stretched his legs out in front of him. He pressed a hand to the dirt and just let the feeling of earth course through him. "Guess I can't stay out here forever," he sighed and the next second he was bolting back up into a defensive stance. Something had cracked a stick not that far from him. He let the Hellfire form swords in his hands as he narrowed his eyes. "Show yourself." With his luck he was just talking to an animal, but Harriet had warned him of creatures that no one should tangle with. "I'll count to three." |
