Hadie was in the process of sucking some juice from his thumb. He had cut into a fleshy purple fruit and it had decided to get revenge by spewing liquid on him. He raised an eyebrow, side of his thumb in his mouth when CJ dropped down next to him. "Hello," he said after he pulled his thumb free of his mouth. He held half the fruit out to her without a second thought.
"Enjoying our little plot of paradise," he asked in a teasing tone. Hadie and CJ weren't mortal enemies or anything, but he had interacted more with her siblings. He took a bite of his own half of the fruit as he glanced around them. The Rock, rather Skull Rock, was a decent enough shelter, but Hadie missed his home. Funny really, considering he hated the prison he had been wrongfully sentenced to, but it was still home.
"What have you been doing to keep yourself busy?"
Everyone seemed to pull their weight at the Rock. Harriet did right by the people under her care it seemed and he was content to just go along with the flow for the moment. Sure, he felt like he wanted to claw his skin off sometimes to release the magic coursing through his veins, but he was still content.
