Teddy shuffled his feet awkwardly, reaching out a hand to pat her arm. "Don't worry about it," he said, shrugging slightly. "You get used to it." He'd never known his parents, and although he knew he loved them, you couldn't miss what you'd never had.
"This place is weird. There are people from all different times. You're just from a few years before I am." He smiled encouragingly. "It's not too bad once you get used to it."
