It had been awhile since Claire had seen an actual beach. Well, they were all actual beaches, but none of them actually had clear water or nice, white sand. This was a nice change. She walked by here on the walk back to her cabin almost nightly, but had never actually taken the chance to stop before, but now she just decided that it was time.
Claire had a couple cabin-mates, neither of whom she was too familiar with, but that didn't break her heart one way or another. She wasn't here to make friends, she was here to play puppet and entertain the creepy people who came to see their favorite media characters like weirdo whackjobs. There had to be some kind of institution for people like that, she decided. She shook her head in an attempt to dispel that thought, because it was really not a pleasant one, being trapped here with mentally unstable people who wished to fawn after her (and the rest of the people here). Instead, she focused on the beach, and the nice night. It really was nice. Ever since that horrid rain shower, the weather had been perfect. Something else that she hadn't had at home.
One thing she couldn't fault the manager for was his taste in location. It really was a beautiful resort.
She spotted Pike sitting there and smiled, approaching him and nodding a hello. They were acquaintances, so she didn't want to just assume that she was welcome there, but they'd gotten along just fine a couple nights prior at the bar, so she hoped that her company wouldn't be turned away.
"Fancy meeting you here," she said with a small smile. "Into solitude right now, or would you mind some company?"
