Billy looked up only after Bonnie spoke, then back down at his drink, then back up at her. "Yep, seems that way," he answered unapologetically, shrugging. One corner of his mouth quirked up in an ironic smile. She seemed like a nice girl, he just hadn't gotten to really know her. It wasn't anything personal, he just hadn't felt like getting to know anybody much, though that one girl Kate had seemed especially nice. It was always good to meet a fan, at least one that didn't follow you around asking you dumb questions.
He shook his head and sighed. One part of him really wanted to be alone, but the other part of him knew this was just as pathetic as he'd been back home. He'd thought that part of his life was behind him. "Would you like to sit down?" he asked Bonnie, gesturing to the chair across from him.
