Puck's jaw tightened as Quinn snapped at him, moving away from him, out his reach. Away from his touch. He nodded to himself, exhaling sharply through his nose as he ran a hand over his head and looked away from her. Fine, she wanted to be this way, this is how they'd play it.
He hated this. It was like he was back at square one with Quinn. After all they'd been through the last few months. After he'd watched the birth of his daughter, something that had changed his entire life. Now it had been erased, like it had never happened. At least for Quinn anyway. She was back to treating him like a loser again. Like she had before. It hurt. Not that he was gonna readily admit that.
Staying quiet, he sat there, thoughts of everything going through his head as the silence hung heavy in the air. Finally after what seemed like an eternity, he cleared his throat and dared a glance in her direction.
"I, uh, think it's been long enough." He said quietly. "Do you want me to look?" He was trying to be helpful. He wanted to show her he could be there. Like he'd tried so hard to do back home. Only this time, he wouldn't screw it up. At least he'd try like hell not to.
