Teddy sighed happily, slipping one arm around her as she leaned her head on his shoulder. As easily as if she weighed nothing at all, he pulled her closer and tucked the duvet around her as well. "Don't worry," he said, leaning his chin on her shoulder. "I've learned from my mistakes." He would make sure he did endless and detailed research into any presents he bought her in future.
"Knowing my luck, I'll stay safe and buy you flowers, then find out they're some kind of man eating orchid." He gave her a little squeeze, looking down at her. He wanted to see her smile again. They had both been through so much, he wanted to know that they really could move on from this.
