Quinn had a lot more trouble handling this than she thought she would have. With Puck, it hadn't been planned--at least not on her part. He claimed to have been caught up in the moment as his reason for forgetting birth control, but he had had the wine coolers ready. After the fact, it seemed like he had planned all along to get her drunk enough to agree to it. And with the way he could charm ladies... she had been lost. But if the truth had to be told? She didn't want to do this. She just wanted Finn to stop being angry with her. She wanted him to forgive her and eventually she wanted to win him back. This seemed like a logical step. If she gave to him what she had given to Puck, the score would be evened... at least somewhat.
When he took her hand, feelings she had forgotten amidst her anger came flooding back. She missed him more than she had realized. She wanted to know he missed her too. She wanted to know that there was a chance that this very good guy could forgive her, even if what she had done had been horrible.
"Just because what?" she said, the anger returning as soon as he let go and started making excuses. He was the one who had wanted this all along, and while she couldn't explain why he had asked her for it this time, he was still the one who had asked. She was willing to do this for him despite the fact that she still wasn't ready, and now he was backing out? "You don't want to do it now because I'm not good enough for you, is that it?"
Somewhere inside, she knew she shouldn't be angry. She knew that it wouldn't help the situation, but damnit. Did he even realize how much this hurt? She was at least trying to show him how sorry she was. But was he even bothering to try to see?
