Reid had ordered a Coke and some fries as an appetizer a moment before and found himself glancing about the room. He looked over from where he was sitting and noticed the woman's gaze lingering at him. He could not help but be flattered. Unless it was someone else nearby that she looked at. But he somehow doubted that. He had found himself staring a few seconds longer than he usually would. So to break the awkwardness, or attempt to anyway, he smiled shyly and waved hello. But then he saw her using the phone so he turned back to his plate. Maybe it was an important text, he could always try talking to her at another time, unless she came over.
Shifting in his seat, he then turned his attention back to the fries, putting several in his mouth. Then he washed it down with a drink from his soda. He could already tell this was going to be a long night. Although he knew there was really nothing wrong with looking. That's all it was, just looking. Though the thoughts in his mind didn't help. It was times like now that he wished he had a girlfriend around to keep him occupied. Maybe then he could have a suitable distraction instead of staring at everyone who went on the beach earlier in the day.
