The fluorescent lights didn't require a pair of sunglasses, but Lorna had them on anyway, just for fun. Beside, they matched her bathing suit, and a combo like that just had to be shown off.
Her bikini was a simple two piece, not meant to be terribly flashy. It was dark purple with tiny gold accents, and had made her so insanely eager to go swimming she'd all but run out the door. The shopping bag was even tucked under the chair she'd draped herself on, with her clothes tucked underneath.
After her swim she had decided to rest for a bit, and finish the book she'd brought along. These days, Lorna was never bookless. It was nice to know that she'd have to do something mundane, like wait for her food at a restaurant, or kill time before her shift. Back home life had been far too exciting for that sort of thing.
