Bella couldn't help but smile when the door opened and Edward stood before her, despite her anxiousness. It was impossible not to smile when she was with him. Stepping up onto the doorframe, away from the ice, she wrapped her arms around him, breathing in his sweet scent. He was perfect. Lifting her chin, she looked up at him and stood on tiptoes to give him a quick kiss. She knew he didn't like it when she was too forceful with the kisses, but since getting him back , for the second time now, she couldn't help kissing him when ever she could.
"What's all this about?" she asked, letting her hands slide from Edward's sides, still looking up at him in mild confusion. Her brow wrinkled a little more. "Is that... steak?" She was sure she could smell food coming from the cabin. Perhaps one of Edward's roommates had been cooking, although none of the other lights in the cabin had been on, and she couldn't imagine anyone sitting eating in the dark. Perhaps they were all going to spend the evening together. She supposed that would be nice, but she had been hoping to spend her evening off with Edward. She didn't even have to be up early tomorrow, which meant she could stay at Edward's cabin tonight, instead of making him come over to hers. Still, she wasn't going to argue if Edward's roommates had cooked for her. It was a nice thought after all.
