Bella grinned, recognising that Arwen had spoken Elvish. She had always thought the only people she'd hear speaking elvish were nerds on their way to some comic convention. If someone had told her she'd come face to face with a real elf, she'd have said they were mad. Although after learning that vampires and werewolves exist, she thought she might have been a little more open minded than she was a couple of years ago.
"I'm Bella," she said, blushing, as she remembered she hadn't introduced herself. Almost tripping over her feet, she walked to Arwen's side. She pointed a little awkwardly in the direction she'd been walking. "It's er... this way," she said, still smiling. She wondered what Edward would say when he met her. He'd read the Lord of the Rings books back when they were first published!
"So..." Bella said, beginning to walk, sneaking peeks at the elf woman as they moved. She was tall and beautiful - so natural yet completely other worldly. "I guess you want to know what you're doing here?" she asked. She wasn't sure how she was going to explain the Lord of the Rings story to her, but the first thing she'd wanted to know when she'd arrived was why she was here and how people seemed to know who she was. Lord of the Rings was so famous, it was probably best Arwen found out about it sooner rather than later, or some fan would give it all away and it would come as a big shock.
