Teddy shook his head, but didn't loosen his grip on her arms. Something was wrong, seriously wrong. "No, that's not right. You wouldn't do that to me. I've known you long enough to know that." He kept peering deep into her eyes as though the truth would pop out at him. But there was nothing. In fact, she looked strangely blank, like it wasn't his Vic at all.
The angry expression on his face changed to one of fear as one word swam around in his mind; Imperio. He'd seen the effects of the curse only once before, and he couldn't really remember what had happened then, but it was the only explination for her to be behaving like this. She would never cheat on him.
Teddy's brow furrowed at her words. No... It couldn't be! "Voldemort?" He barely whispered the name, a ripple of fear spreading through him. Surely, he couldn't be here; the wizard responsible for making him an orphan, if not directly. But Sirius had come back. And Heather had said there was a chance his mother and father could be alive here, so what was stopping Voldemort too? Teddy shook his head, looking at Vic in terror. "What did he do to you? Where is he?" What could he do if You Know Who really was here? He couldn't fight him on his own. He knew Harry had, but he'd had the protection of his mother's love. They'd all heard the stories. What did Teddy have? An old wand and the ability to change his hair colour. Perhaps at full moon he would have had a chance, but that was days ago. He couldn't fight the most powerful dark wizard the world had ever known, but he had to help Vic.
