Teddy sighed, still looking up at her. "Vic," he said softly. "Don't be silly. I know what you're thinking, and it's stupid. I can't function without you. I love you, you know that." He had no idea when she had become so unsure of him, and vulnerable, but she didn't need to be with him. So they fought now and then, and they'd been stubborn and stupid for two years, but he'd never stopped loving her.
He was glad to see her smile. Mirroring the expression on her face, he craned his neck up to kiss her, murmuring against her lips. "Yeah, well, you are very tasty, you know."
