Teddy stepped up once more so he was on the step below her. Gently he slipped his arms around her waist, pulling her against him. "What you scared of?" he asked, looking up at her with his puppy-dog eyes. "I'm not going to eat you by mistake, don't worry." He grinned at her, trying to lighten the mood. He had a feeling he knew what she'd say, but he might as well at least try to make her smile. He loved her, after all.
