She turned back to him from the first few steps when he spoke again, sighing. She didn't want to fight with him, and in fact she hadn't even raised her voice at him. She was just mad at him for not looking at the note she left, and told him not to do it again. She crossed her arms over her chest and leaned against the railing to look at him.
"I'm not fighting, Teddy. I didn't even raise my voice." Which, was actually worse, because when she yelled, she could be soothed. When she stayed quiet was when she was most irritated. She had at least wanted the good from being together again to last longer than this, but what he did made her think he didn't want to be considerate of her at all, and it wasn't just about the food.
