He was beneath one of the golf carts. Between Joker and the less than graceful guests he was up to his elbows in repairs. He never though he'd say he missed another guy, but that was the case he missed Pike. But only because he was a helping hand, it meant he wasn't in the bay by himself. And the guests seemed a little afraid of the guy so they'd been more careful with the carts. Apparently Jake just wasn't a scary guy.
When he heard Bella call, he couldn't help the grunt of frustration. He expected this sort of freak out from Leah. He didn't expect it from her. With a hard shove he pushed himself from beneath the cart. He was greasy and dirty. A hat on his head to keep the oil from his hair, turned backwards so it wouldn't get stuck.
"Bella I thought I said we shouldn't talk until you were cooled down. You obviously haven't cooled down at all. I'd rather not deal with your kinda crazy right now." It was a little cold, he knew, but she blew up at him over something that was all nature, something he had absolutely no control over. And of all people, that he thought, would get that point... She didn't. And it was a huge disappointment. This felt like Italy all over again.
