Bella watched as the woman began to fall apart slighty, her hard, scary exteriour visibly shaken. Still, she didn't quite feel like sitting so instead she just took a step into the room, hovering in the doorway, her hands deep in her pockets still. "I'm alright here, thanks," she muttered. It would be rude to just leave now she was here. She just hoped that Jake might turn up soon. That would give her an excuse to leave.
"It's not too bad here," Bella said, trying to sound comforting. There was no school for one thing, and everyone knew about the existence of vampires and werewolves. She had hated lying to everyone back home, but here she could talk freely of her relationship with Edward, becoming friends with the wolves and her troubles with the other vampires. "The fans can be a bit... testing, but most of the people here are alright." Everyone she'd met so far had been fine, even Petersen, who she'd been determined to hate first of all. Still, as long as she was here and Edward wasn't, she couldn't be completely happy. That was just how she worked.
