Bella nodded, trying not to show how glum she was at the amount of time. Awkwardly, she shoved her hands into her pockets, still standing in the entrance hall, as if being in a different room to the woman would keep her safe. She wondered if Jake had come across this woman yet, and if so, what he thought of her. Jake was, if anything, a friendly guy, but even he might be wary of someone so heavily armed. She realised she didn't know if guns would even affect a werewolf. They weren't much use against vampires, but Jake was more human than a vampire. Still, the wolves had taken out Laurent, and he was far more deadly than any gun.
"Well," she began, thinking for a moment. What could she say that wasn't obvious? "We're all, like... characters. Petersen - the Manager - dragged us out of our worlds to work here because to the residents of this world, we're all fictional. We're kinda like real life versions of the characters at Disney World." She'd even been asked for her autograph a number of times. She'd found it very strange that anyone would think she was worth it, but she'd discovered it was easier not to put up resistance.
"I think... if the guests request a certain character or fandom, Petersen tries to get them here, you know, to keep the guests happy." Although that still didn't explain why Edward wasn't around. So many people had asked her where he was, and she just didn't have an answer. She wanted him here far more than any of his so called fans.
