Bella nodded slowly. That was apparent. Even Tony had only carried one little gun. She couldn't help thinking this woman was going well over the top. Besides, this place seemed relatively safe. Ok, apart from an incident in the spa with some other girls when everyone seemed to be on heat, no one had tried to kill her, or even harm her. To be honest, it made a difference from home. There was always some crazy vampire trying to kill her back home; James, Victoria, now the Volturi.
Bella thought about that. Of course, she knew exactly how long she'd been here, away from Edward, but she had no idea how time here related to time back home. "Twelve days," she sighed. "Almost two weeks." It didn't sound long, but when she didn't have Edward it felt like an eternity. At least when he'd left before she'd felt numb, each day sinking into the next. Here, wide awake and aware, each hour seemed to last a lifetime.
