Bella pushed open the front door of Jake's cabin, still in her work clothes. She'd left her PDA at her own cabin, or she'd have text to ask if he was in or not. She knew he spent a lot of time at Leah's, a fact she was determined not to feel jealous about, but she knew he had to come home every now and then. She might just be lucky.
"Jake?" she called up the stairs towards his room, standing just inside the entrance hall. She'd learned that Jake's cabin door was often left open, just like a few others. Some people were strict about locking doors when they left, but when you could be roomed with absolutely anyone, it seemed pointless trying to keep other people out.
