Lorna laughed a little, more out of nerves than anything else. She tried her best to look warm and friendly, and one hundred percent not crazy. She didn't have many female friends, and she had no human friends, so this meeting had pretty high stakes for her self-esteem.
"Thanks. I like it too. You can always pick me out of a crowd." Which hadn't been so great for most of her life, really. Still, she wasn't going to mope about that here, where everyone seemed pretty nice so far.
The comment about the restaurant being nice got an enthusiastic nod. "Me either. It's a pretty cozy place. I'll have to come here for dinner sometime, it smells so good inside."
She ordered a Sprite, perusing the dessert menu eagerly. "Have you been here long?"
