"Give it." He waved a few fingers towards her so that she would hand over the rope. There was no point in her carrying something like that. Not if he could do it for her. Besides if it was one less thing, it would be one less to cause her to fall over. The way her luck worked one of the ends would work it's way down and tangle around her legs, like it was live or something.
"I was thinking about staying close to the cabins. There are a lot of live oak around them and they're best for climbing. Their branches are wide, they don't grow too tall, but they're sturdy." He'd sprung on a few zombies from one. But he'd been a wolf at the time. And if they stayed close to home, if she fell and hurt herself he wouldn't have to carry her far to get help. He closed the door behind him and stepped down off the porch.
