WHO: Bella and Jake WHEN: Early afternoon WHERE: Jake's cabin then the forest WHAT: Bella wants to climb a tree RATING: PG-13 STATUS: Complete
Bella knocked on Jake's door, shuffling her feet slightly. It was quite a warm day, but she'd worn thick jeans and a hoodie anyway, just incase she needed padding at some point. Like when she was falling out of a tree. Still, she couldn't help feeling quite excited about it all. She'd done exciting things with Edward, and even with Jake, but she had decided she wanted to climb a tree, properly, on her own. Well, not quite on her own, but near enough. Besides, she was sure there would be a great view if they could get anywhere near high enough.
Looking behind out, out towards the forest, she hoisted the rope a little way further onto her arm. She'd found it in the cupboard back at her cabin and figured it might come in handy. She could always just tie herself onto the tree if she got in trouble and wait to be rescued. Still, she trusted Jake to keep her safe and it would be good to spend time with him again. She tried to push away the guilty feeling as she really only spent quality time with Jake when Edward wasn't around. Still, even if Edward did show up, she was going to do her best to keep close to both of them. She cared about them both and she had hated the confrontation back home. Couldn't they see that it hurt her to choose between her relationship with Edward or her friendship with Jake.
