"I work with the horses. It looks like someone else will get assigned to actually teaching people to ride, which I'm fine with. I'd rather hang out with the horses anyway." He smiled slightly. "They don't talk back, think they know better, or piss me off." The one place he didn't mind being in this place was the stable. This place or somewhere else, it gave him a subtle sense of peace he didn't often find.
The first name went over his head. Some poor woman had a name like Sookie? "Maybe not you, but others would have looked anyway. Telling them they're there is all the motivation they need when curiosity is involved," he added, pulling the bottle closer. The second name did ring a bell. Hardison would have had one of his nerd fits if he was here. "It's not like you knew you'd be meeting the real deal," he said, deliberately adding 'real'. Just because that show existed didn't mean his life suddenly didn't.
