She hadn't been able to resist the urge, she'd been far to worried over the people she cared about. What happened to them after she was snatched? She found out the worst. She found out things that she'd ignored blindly. And she regretted every moment. Her supposed best friend... She couldn't even... She'd give herself this little bit to be angry, she'd let the bitterness grab a hold of her for this little bit. She'd follow Pike's advice but instead of fear it was anger. She felt betrayed. Beyond betrayed.
Having to work out in the rain she'd oddly grown used to the fact that until people started to cooperate she was going to be stuck in a constant state of wet. His footsteps drew her out of the little cloud of anger she'd built up around herself, she glanced back offering him a slightly forced smile. "There's a lot of bottles available."
Turning to face him she pushed her wet backside up onto the counter, swinging her legs over she hopped down onto the bartender side. Stepping over to a cooler she slid it open. "They have beer, from the really cheap forties to the fancy stuff from Germany. Then they have all of that," she waved behind her at the wall full of different bottles of the hard stuff.
She pulled out a can of Pabst and set it on the counter top. She had a taste for the poor man's drink, it was all that had been left at the grocers, and Stanley had snapped it up like candy. That was one thing they didn't show on television. "How made up do you think we are really? I mean I remember stuff that wasn't on..." She made a noise in the back of her throat, it was so hard to believe she was from a TV show."What's the likely hood of all of this being one big sick joke?"
