Bella took a few steps back away from her towards the stairs, nodding. Just looking at her new soaking wet aquaintance made even her want a hot drink. She would be happy when this rain was over. Forks was bad enough. She had thought she might at least see some sunshine while she was forced to be in this horrible place.
"It's up on the landing," Bella said, motioning towards the stairs. "There's a little puddle just where the stairs turn and a skylight just above. I think it's coming in there." She had spent the last few nights laying listening to drip, missing Edward. After being away from him for so long, while he was doing his noble yet misinformed thing, she liked him to stay with her while she slept as often as possible. Of course, Charlie had no idea that his daughter slept beside her boyfriend every night, and much less that said boyfriend was dead, but it wasn't like they were having sex or something so there shouldn't really be anything to complain about. Bella always slept better when Edward was there.
Taking the stairs two at a time, Bella climbed up to the landing and stood beside the little damp patch, waiting for Heather. She'd show her the leak then go to get her a towel. It seemed silly to leave her standing alone in the middle of the doorway, dripping wet.
