He could smell the burnt fish fry for about a mile, okay maybe not a mile, but he could definitely smell it where he stood. Leaning against one of the oak trees that lined the shore between the backs of the cabins and the lake, he contemplated jumping in her window...Again. He knew with the ass he'd made of himself that Robin might not let him in the front door if he knocked. Hell me might be met with something sharp in his face. And that was something else he didn't want.
To hell with it. If it pissed her off then he'd just leave. He'd been standing there almost all day, waiting for her to leave the cabin. But obviously that wasn't going to happen. So time for a Casanova move.
He stuck the stem of the most recent flower he'd picked to give to her between his teeth. Strolling over towards the back porch, doing a quick step, he pulled himself up onto the roof. He wasn't nearly as quiet as he'd been last night. What was the point? He wanted to talk to her, not pull a stalker move.
He was glad to find the window still open. Partially expecting it to be closed, after last night. He eased inside. Stopping to remove the purple rose from between his teeth once he was over the sill.
