"It's not your fault. It's Petersen's fault. Somehow all of his decisions find a way to hurt me." There was no real explanation for it except that Petersen had a subconscious need to punish her for not choosing him. He accused her of playing the victim, but she didn't really have a choice in the matter most of the time. Petersen hurt her, and this time he'd hurt her and taken away the one person she felt comfortable breaking down around at the same time.
Anna sighed. "I don't agree with what he did. You were unhappy, but that was part of your life experience. He erased years of your life because you experienced something hard. We've all been there." Although, considering neither of them had listened and Petersen had shoved his powers in Robin, this was probably for the best. "I'm not saying you should have stayed that way, I'm just saying I don't think it was the best way to handle it. And none of that was your choice."
There was really no way to handle this situation easily. And the more they talked about it, the worse it made her feel. Maybe there was a reason she and Robin didn't usually talk about their problems, they just dealt with them better when they didn't. Pushing up to her feet, Anna stepped out of the sandbox. "Fine. I'll keep my inability to deal to myself."
