"Got what from me?" He asked as his eyes went back to the child in his arms. He was as perfect as Katie, and he could not believe that this amazing little person could be his son. He had spent so long doing nothing but taking life, that the thought that he could have had a part in creating it was amazing.
"He is perfect, Laura." He stroked a finger callused by years of using his bow gently down one soft cheek, delighting in the little gap toothed grin.
