He put the book down on the table beside the couch at the knock on the door, before moving over to open it. It was sort of relieving to see it was someone he had already met. Every day he was running in to people he was supposedly already well acquainted with. It was a bit exhausting.
"Hi Heather," he greeted with a smile. He wasn't too concerned about Katie waking. He was by this point convinced she would sleep through just about anything. He opened the door further for her to come inside. He didn't know what sort of cakes they were she had on the plate, but the smell was undeniably intriguing.
