Who: Columbus and Rachel Berry What: Rachel sings for Columbus! When: Evening Where: Her cabin. Rated: PG?
After waking up early to do his morning rituals, while following his rules to survive that easily affected his everyday living, Columbus had most of the day to just sit around and wait for evening to arrive becoming more nervous by the moment. Ever since he could remember, there was just something about girls that made him tongue tided. It didn't help that the last two experinces with girls didn't go all that well either. While one had decided to steal his shotgun and car, taking off with both, the other had turned into a zombie that had every intention of making him her first meal. All he wanted was to find a nice girl and bring them home to meet the folks, even if they were complete shut ins. That was one of the many reasons why he'd rather be associated with her family so he would be part of something cool. Then again, Columbus was thinking ahead of himself. Heck, it probably didn't help his case that he truly wasn't sure what that particular girl's name was. It slipped his mind to ask to be honest. He knew that was a rather dumb move, so it was a possibility that the good first impression to hear her sing was cancelled out. Maybe, he wasn't all too sure.
Just leave it to Columbus' mind to slip and forget to ask, honestly. Well, no one really could blame him. At least, he didn't think so. In Zombieland, they referred to each other by the area or state they were from as a given name. To Tallahassee, it was better then getting to know each other better, since anything could basically happen. It kept them from getting too close to one another, but that didn't exactly help in the situation that they had become thrusted upon. Maybe that's what caused him to forget an easy question. Hopefully, she didn't mind that he introduced himself right at her cabin door.
A part of him wanted to ask Tallahasse for some tips to make the evening better, but that would mean he would have to endure all the teasing. Columbus had already recieved enough almost every other day since his arrival at the resort about Wichita. It was true. He did enjoy her company, besides the fact that she was an attractive woman, but she wasn't here. They really didn't have anything going on, not counting that he would take pleasure in brushing her hair behind her ear. There was even a chance that she wouldn't make an appearance here. Columbus did hope with all his might that she was surviving well within Zombieland all by herself, especially for someone that counted on their sibling to push them through the hard times.
Columbus knew that he was overthinking the entire situation. It was just a meet and greet sort of deal, while she sang for him. Singing was a paritcular subject that he really didn't have a clue about. Sure, he sang all the time in the privacy of his own shower, but no where in public. It seemed where others had exceled in such a field, he made up for it in World of Warcraft. That seemed a lot more safer in his mind. It kept anyone from becoming embarassed or made fun of, unless one completely sucked at the game. In short, he wasn't expecting her to be as great as she claimed, but it was nice to side with girls during a subject that seemed passionate in. He also didn't want to upset anyone either, so he stated what he thought she might want to hear.
Making his way up towards cabin seven, Columbus reached out and simply knocked on the door, letting a breath of air escape his lips. It did calm him down considerably as he repeated rule number thirty-two over and over again in his mind. Enjoy the little things.
