Who: Marian and Robin What: Dealing with things When: A day or two after their loss Where: Hotel room
Since she'd noticed the spotting, Marian had been on bed rest, at first trying to prevent the miscarriage, but then...she'd just kinda shut down, blocking out the world which had been cruel enough to deprive her of a child. She couldn't block out Robin, of course, but she'd hardly been in the mood to do very much beyond sleep and try to forget everything.
Shifting, she pulled the comforter closer, curling up. Robin was somewhere close, she knew, and likely feeling bad, himself, but for the moment she was just numb, puffy eyes and red nose testimony to previous hysterics.
