"It's pretty weird for me too." Anna stroked her fingers along the baby's head as he settled and then his older self. She stood back a little, looking at the two of them, trying to see any little difference. There weren't any, except the normal growing differences. His face had thinned out and sharpened. But even his hair hadn't changed much, or his eyes. Most babies changed hair color and eye color by first or second year. And then growing up it changed sometimes. But Aiden looked just like he would as a young adult.
Johan had clearly been waiting for her arms to be free, because the minute Aiden was holding himself, the dog bounded across the sidewalk and nearly knocked her over. "I was wondering where you were. You can sleep inside with me now, you know." Since she didn't seem to be sharing a room with anyone at the moment. That was... not something she wanted to think about. Especially not with Aiden right there.
