"I don't know if you've noticed, but I'm not very patient." Anna just wanted to be better now. She hated feeling like she was disappointing her family. And she knew that was irrational, but it wasn't a thought she could turn off. She just worried that she was doing it wrong, that she wasn't healing fast enough.
It was easier when she was sleeping. It was easier not to worry about the fact that she'd been home for a month and hadn't been anything but trouble for anyone. She wouldn't say that, because everyone would argue, but she felt useless when she was awake.
