The kiss to her hand was a simple gesture, however, it seemed maybe it wasn't what Emmanuelle had wanted. Her hand was quickly gone from his own before he had the chance to stand up straight once again. No matter. That didn't waver his thoughts that they needed to have a conversation. Small talk would have to do for the moment. Fredrick was actually relieved that she had been in the cinema that particular day. With the crappiest of movies out on display, he was happy that for that interruption. Raising an eyebrow to the woman's simplest of words, he merely tilted his head to one side processing such a sentence. "Not most of my school years. I have attended all the nessesarry classes in order to graduate before moving on....bigger things," he replied shortly after Emmanuelle's assumptions. Actually, that's what all she was filled with around him. Assumptions. It was almost clear to him, but didn't make any notion outwardly towards that fact. "Plenty of thing happened leading up to that moment, Mademoiselle." His words were true. A great number of things had happened between each moment. He had battled for his very life, thown into battle at such a tender age compared to the other men fighting along side him.
After all, it wasn't like the Jews hadn't made any attempt at stealing his own life from him. Fredrick showed a great deal of bravery. The fact that there was a good amount of the time before and within the crow's nest alone, was a scary time in his life for him. Of course, it had been a fact that simply wasn't thought about. "Tell me, how have you been?" he asked again, feeling like he was a broken record for repeating the words.
